CONCERTS
Messiah Sing-Along
December 7, 2024
Stratford Concert Choir again invites you to the surround-sound treatment of Messiah’s stirring choruses. Lead by the choir you can join your vocal section from the audience and raise your voice in a resounding “Hallelujah”!
We will be accompanied again on organ with timpani and trumpets adding to the joy.
In support of our emerging musician initiative, you will enjoy 4 talented young soloists performing a selection of Handel’s arias.
Not a singer? You don’t need to be to bask in the good will, hope, and joy that resounds through Messiah as eloquently today as it did in 1742.
Her Song
March 22, 2025
Stratford Concert Choir invites you to join us on a captivating musical journey as we shine a spotlight on some remarkable compositions by remarkable women composers through the ages.
You will enjoy music composed by those who have gone before including Clara Schuman, Imogene Holst and Alice Parker as well as active and vibrant Canadians who are composing today. Stephanie Martin, Kathryn Rose and Sarah Quartel are all represented here.
Vivaldi Gloria
May 24, 2025
Rejoice in one of sacred music’s most uplifting choral works: Vivaldi’s Gloria. Originally written as a joyful hymn of praise and worship for a choir of women, Gloria became, over time, a masterpiece unrivaled in joviality and elegance. Under the direction of Stephane Potvin and accompanied by orchestra the Stratford Concert Choir will bring the wonderfully sunny nature of the Gloria to life in our final concert of the season.
